Email Settings

If you use an email client such as Microsoft Outlook, you should choose manual setup to configure your email. On the iPhone, choose Other under Add Account and then choose Add Mail Account.

Your mail server settings are as follows:

Incoming Mail
- use the same protocol, either POP3 or IMAP, on all your email clients

Protocol Port Server Name
Secure POP3 995 securemail.megamailservers.com
Secure IMAP 993 securemail.megamailservers.com


Be sure to set Encryption method/SSL to ON or AUTO in your email client software.

  • In Outlook,
    - POP3: check the box next to This server requires an encrypted connection(SSL/TLS)
    - IMAP: set Encryption method to SSL/TLS

  • On the iPhone, check the Use SSL box and set Authentication to Password


Enter your username/email address and password. Your username would be in the format of:

username@yourdomainname.com


Outgoing Mail
- SMTP settings are the same whether you use POP3 or IMAP

Protocol Port Server Name
Secure SMTP 465 or 1025 or 25
- Try each of these in order. Port may be blocked by your ISP.

To send email you need to enable SMTP Authentication.

  • In Outlook,
    - set Encryption method to SSL/TLS
    - check the box next to My outgoing (SMTP) server requires authentication. Then select the radio box that says Use same settings as my incoming mail server

  • On the iPhone, check the Use SSL box and set Authentication to Password


Finally, if there is an option to set the length of Server timeouts, you will want to set them to the maximum amount.
